The irons feature an all-new hollow body construction filled with feel enhancing foam, as well as re-engineered PWR-BRIDGE™ and PWRSHELL™ technologies to create COBRA’s longest, best feeling game improvement iron to date. the drivers feature groundbreaking aerodynamic shaping, a re-engineered PWR-BRIDGE™, and advanced A.I. designed PWRSHELL™ H.O.T. Face™ in three models – DARKSPEED LS, DARKSPEED X, and DARKSPEED MAX.
Cobra Darkspeed Driver
1. DARKSPEED LS Fairway – Designed for players with faster swing speeds, the new LS features a space-grade Titanium body and Titanium PWRSHELL H.O.T. FACE insert. Titanium was utilized by COBRA engineers to save more discretionary weight and reposition it lower and forward in the head. This combination of PWR-BRIDGE technology and 68g of tungsten weighting moves the CG lower and forward for maximum ball speed and distance. A lightweight carbon crown also functions to save weight in the upper portion of the clubhead, yielding a CG location that is 3.2mm lower to the ground than in the previous model. Like the LS driver, the DARKSPEED LS fairway metal features an adjustable weighting system with two 15g weights in the front and a single 3g weight in the back for trajectory and spin tuning. The DARKSPEED LS fairway is offered with the UST Mamiya LIN-Q M40X White 70g shaft in S and X flex, and a Lamkin Crossline grip. Loft offerings include a brand new stronger lofted 3+ model with a nominal loft of 13 o (adjustable between 11.5 o and 14.5 o), a 3W with a nominal loft of 14.5 o (adjustable between 13.0 o and 16.0o), and a 5W with a nominal loft of 17.5 o (adjustable between 16.0 o and 19.0 o).
2. DARKSPEED X Fairway – The DARKSPEED X model is designed for players looking for a balance of easy launch, forgiveness, and distance. An 8g fixed weight is positioned in the rear of the sole for added forgiveness and high launch, while PWR-BRIDGE and PWRSHELL H.O.T. FACE Technology provide faster ball speed through a low, forward CG location. A lightweight carbon crown further contributes to the low CG by removing weight from the upper portion of the clubhead. The DARKSPEED X fairway is offered with a choice of UST Mamiya LIN-Q M40X Blue shaft in R, S, and X flexes. Loft offerings include 15 o (3W), adjustable from 13.5 o to 16.5 o, 18 o (5W) adjustable from 16.5 o to 19.5 o, and 21 o (7W) adjustable from 19.5 o to 22.5 o.
3. DARKSPEED MAX Fairway – The most forgiving fairway metal in the lineup is designed for players that desire a high, draw-biased ball flight. Like the MAX driver, the fairway metal features an adjustable weight system with 12g and 3g weights positioned in the back and the heel of the sole to fine tune forgiveness and flight. PWR-BRIDGE weighting and PWRSHELL H.O.T. FACE Technology deliver the fastest ball speed possible using low and forward weighting and an optimized variable thickness face design, while a carbon crown helps lower the CG location for higher launch. Shaft choices include UST Mamiya LIN-Q M40X Red in A, R, and S flex. Loft offerings include 15.5 o (3W) adjustable from 14 o to 17 o, 18.5 o (5W) adjustable from 17 o to 20 o, and 21.5 o (7W) adjustable from 20 o to 23 o.

The innovative PWR-BRIDGE weight in the new DARKSPEED irons is suspended on a small singular post, allowing it to be almost completely free floating within the hollow clubhead. This performance enhancing design positions the CG low for optimal launch while creating an improved face and sole that helps increase ball speed and launch. In addition, the DARKSPEED irons feature a thinner (1.6mm) and 21% larger PWRSHELL H.O.T. Face™ (Highly Optimized Topology) insert that takes ball speed to the next level. An L-Cup construction also boasts a new and improved H.O.T. Face pattern, designed using A.I., for a faster and more efficient clubface. H.O.T. Face was designed to produce the optimal variable thickness pattern for a larger sweet spot and improved speed on both center and off-center hits.
The new DARKSPEED Irons are available in both Variable and ONE Length options, allowing players to choose between a traditional setup or a ONE Length configuration. The DARKSPEED Variable Length irons are available in a 4-PW set composition (RH Steel Stiff and Reg – £849) or 5-GW (RH/LH; Steel Stiff - £849), as well as a graphite set composing of 5-GW (RH/LH; Graphite Reg and Lite - £949). Each steel option comes standard with premium aftermarket KBS® Tour Lite 105g shafts (reg & stiff) and Lamkin® Crossline grips. The stock graphite offering is an aftermarket KBS® PGI (85 – Stiff flex; 75 – Regular flex; 65 – Lite flex, 55 in Ladies flex).
COBRA DARKSPEED ONE Length irons offer the same distance enhancing technologies as the variable length irons as well as added consistency and accuracy due to the ONE Length setup. Each iron is built to 7-iron length (37.25”) to encourage a repeatable setup and swing. To ensure that the long irons perform optimally at a shorter length, the ONE Length DARKSPEED irons feature wider soles and slightly weaker lofts in the 4-6 irons to promote higher trajectory shots. The DARKSPEED ONE Length irons are available in CUSTOM ONLY across steel and graphite, (RH Reg – 5-GW, £949, graphite Stiff, Lite and LH. RH Stiff & Reg - £849). Each steel option comes standard with premium aftermarket KBS Tour Lite 105g shafts (reg & stiff) and Lamkin Crossline grips.
